Welcome to cottage country!

Life in the middle of the Muskoka woods means there will be bugs.

We have a contract with the company, Mosquito Buzz to spray for mosquitos and also for ticks.  They come every three weeks throughout the spring, summer and fall.  If they do come when you're here, we just ask that stay down at the dock or inside while they spray (they take approximately 30 minutes) and then for 30 minutes after.  It has made a huge difference with bug control.

There are many citronella candles in the cupboard in the Muskoka Room.  There are also a few cans of bug spray if you forgot to bring your own (located in the bathroom closet).  We ask that you please replace the bug spray so that there is some for other guests.  A fly swatter is located on a hook to the right of the refrigerator.

Finally, we ask that you close the screen door to the deck, ensure the Muskoka Room door is closed tightly (it has a habit of not closing) and that the Mudroom doors are closed. This will ensure that the cottage is bug free.
